The Pakistan Super League added a mid-tier salary band designed to keep emerging local players from leaving for mid-season T20 leagues abroad. Franchise officials say the band is too narrow. Player agents say it is too public.

The draft itself is scheduled for November. Between now and then, expect more leaks than policy papers.
